Abundance Area Coordinator
Grow Sheffield and the Abundance project is looking for Area Coordinators in new parts of Sheffield to expand the project and reach more people. Our volunteers will form the local face of Abundance. You’ll be the main point of contact for a wide-range of stakeholders in the area and you will play a key role in promoting the Abundance mantra. Maybe you’re interested in urban agriculture or already know of the Abundance project and want to get more involved? This role could be for you.
Area Coordinators will work closely with the Abundance Project Leader and maintain a strong relationship with other Area Coordinators. You will liaise with the public, become a visible presence in the community and facilitate the various stages or urban fruit harvesting; from scouting trees, harvesting them, distributing the fruit and raising awareness of the project.
You’ll be representing Abundance, but you’ll also become an integral part of the project. Our Area Coordinators are key to the development of the project. An interest in urban agriculture, and in particular fruit trees, is essential. We will provide you with an introduction toGrow Sheffield and Abundance to bring you up to date with our organisation, and we also offer regular, free training and an in-house induction.
