Abundance Events Coordinator
Grow Sheffield and the Abundance project are looking for an Events Coordinator to work across Sheffield, to coordinate our appearance at annual events, whilst helping to develop and promote our harvests, workshops and celebrations. You’ll work closely with the Project Leader and Area Coordinators, whilst maintaining a relationship with the Grow Sheffield Communications Officer. You’ll play a key role in promoting and developing the Abundance project. Maybe you’re interested in urban agriculture, are studying events management or already know of the Abundance project and want to become more involved? This role could be for you.
The Events Coordinator will work closely with the Abundance Project Leader and maintain a strong relationship with Area Coordinators. You will liaise with the team, scout out possible events for us to appear at and coordinate our appearance on the day of the event. You’ll also be involved in developing our own events, such as harvests and chutney workshops to ensure a smooth and successful delivery.
You’ll be representing Abundance, but you’ll also become an integral part of the project. Our Events Coordinator will be key to the development of the project. We’re looking for someone with experience of coordinating events, but this does not have to be certified. An interest in urban agriculture, and in particular fruit trees, is essential. We will provide you with an introduction to Grow Sheffield and Abundance to bring you up to date with our organisation, and we also offer regular, free training and an in-house induction.
