Grow Sheffield in Transition…

As you may already know, Grow Sheffield is undergoing some pretty massive changes right now.

To reflect these, we’ve changed our front page, and over the coming few days, you’ll see further changes as we add to the new section ‘How To’, then we’ll be changing ‘Resources and Info’ into an ‘Archive’ section to show a lot of our previous articles and past news.

Please bear with us as we make these changes.

Don’t worry: we’ll keep you posted.

Thank you.

Friends of Sheaf Valley Park New Project!

We’re a little bit warmer and a little bit lighter in the evenings – maybe you are inspired to join us for Day Three of our series of practical workdays in Jervis Lum (Norfolk Park)?
We’ll be meeting again this Sunday 26 Feb at 11 am at the top of the steps to the Lum, which is at the top end of Norfolk Park near the big metal bridge.  And we’ll spend an hour or two lopping and sawing the holly which is at the moment dominating the wood.  We’ve made steady progress already.  It’s physical work, but – and this is the good bit about volunteering! – you can take it easy if you want, just do what you can and stay for as long as you like!
Please do join us if you fancy it, and bring your own loppers and bow saw if you have one (we have spares also).  We are a friendly bunch and the Lum is a really peaceful place to be; when we’ve finished it’s like we’ve been in our own little world for a bit, which is very refreshing.
Please see the attachment for all you need to know.
Hope to see you soon.
